Made by Birds Jewellery is a husband-and-wife duo Dan and Leah Bird who love to make beautiful jewellery. As artisan jewellers, our business name is a playful nod to our family surname, Bird. We handcraft contemporary sterling silver, bronze and copper jewellery from our workshop, focusing on unique individual designs rather than feathered friends!
Materials We Love to Make Shine...
Our first choice is always natural materials, we love to use silver, copper, brass and bronze as our metals, solid metals not plated, our silver is recycled and we keep all our scraps for recycling and reusing later. Our silver items are sent to Birmingham Assay for testing and hallmarking before being added to our shop, a guarantee that you are choosing a quality piece made with solid silver.
We chose stones that are natural if at all possible, there are times that we add a cubic zirconia or some Swarovski crystal beads to compliment a natural stone or bring a little extra sparkle but natural stones, especially with inclusions, those little unique formations within a stone that make each stone individual and ever so interesting, are what we really like to feature and enhance in our jewellery.
