I am the flunky along for the comic relief, I'm not on a journey or going anywhere but I like banging metal around with big hammers and playing with torches .
I don't have a particular style, I have made some brutalist pieces, also some fine pieces, I like a bit of Art Deco but mostly I like the process of taking metal forming and manipulating it to create whole pieces of jewellery neatly completed and finished in that hand crafted high quality standard of artisan jewellery.

When I started my on my path as a jewellery maker I just wanted to make a necklace for my niece, something personal for a very special event in her life. So I started by learning some basic wire wrapped loops and after much practice with copper wire I made her a silver bracelet and necklace with green Agate and Jasper beads.
From those beginnings we started buying vintage jewellery, some needing restringing and fixing before selling, learning to knot pearls and restore vintage jewellery while trying to keep as close to the original made me passionate about the old techniques which were often of higher quality or involved a process that was more considered and thoughtful, each piece and element being individually shaped, cut, tightened and crafted.
Now I enjoy a number of different techniques in my craft, wirework pearl and gemstone bead knotting, silversmithing, ever expanding as I continue my learning and sometimes experimenting always looking for new ways to show case and enhance the beauty and design in natural gemstones and materials.
